In this course we will go deep inside the organizations across the media industries, with specific attention to startups and SMEs (Small to Medium-sized Enterprises). Given the disruptive trends affecting the industry – such as globalization, digitization, and precaritization – the media are in a state of flux. The key concepts invoked in the contemporary industry dynamic are creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. We will develop a historical understanding of these concepts and learn how to theoretically understand and practically apply them to the industry.
