Last week, during the Digital Methods Initiative’s winter school I was happy to facilitate a research to understand the Smart Nation agenda and its critique in Singapore, which has one of the most advanced smart city discourses. This research is part of Linnet Taylor‘s DATAJUSTICE project, and together with Shazade Jameson (Doctoral Researcher at Tilburg University) and a group of winter school participants we tried to answer the following questions:
- What are the main positive institutional, policy and popular narratives around new data technologies in Singapore?
- What counter-narratives are emerging, and what principles or objectives do they focus on?
Please find the complete research report on the DMI wiki.
